Monday Morning Memo

Re-enrollment for our current families begins this week! Enrollment agreements are due to the Admissions office by Friday, Feb. 3, in order to secure your child’s spot in his/her class. Please note that tuition assistance applicants receive their re-enrollment agreements on or around Feb. 1st when awards have been determined.
Our eighth graders participated in a service project yesterday, assisting the folks at Harvesters. We are so proud of this tradition of service and the great participation by almost all of our eighth graders on their holiday break. What a tribute to the work and messages of Dr. King!

Bully Prevention Workshops for students and parents will be held January 24 – 26th. Students in first – eighth grades will meet with Tricia Madsen, a community educator specializing in the area of bullying prevention and relational aggression on Tuesday or Wednesday, January 24 or 25th for an hour-long workshop. Tricia has spoken about bullying to more than 80,000 students, parents and teachers, and is passionate about designing innovative strategies and programs that lessen the many obstacles youth face. Tricia is a dynamic speaker who has a wealth of strategies to counter the intentional actions of bullying. She will share with us the nature and prevention of relational aggression, manipulation, bias and cyber bullying. Ms. Madsen’s presentation is fast paced and full of factual information she has gathered through research and while working with students in both public and private schools, including St. Paul’s last year. She is the author of the STEP Up program for middle school girls and speaks nationally on the topic of relational aggression.
Ms. Madden will also offer a Parent Workshop on Thursday, January 26 at 7 pm in the North MPR. Please RSVP to lvan@speds.org by 9 am on Thursday, January 26, for the parent workshop. Questions can be directed to Gingie Watt, Lower School Division Head, gwatt@speds.org.
Game Night – The Auction Kick-off Party: Get your GAME ON at Game Night! On January 28th, join other St. Paul’s parents at the home of Dave and Krista Peterson, and support the auction at the same time. The evening will be full of fun and games, good food and great camaraderie. Complimentary valet parking will be available and the dress is sporty casual. Fans of St. Paul’s will be able to bring their donations to the party (both cash and in-kind items are appreciated). Schedule your sideline help now, and reply to Katie Gregg if you’re able to play: kgregg@speds.org. We really need to know whether you’re coming, so that adequate valet service will be available. See below for more information on these exciting opportunities!
