Through
giant snowflakes, the third grade families and guests came to enjoy the Third
Grade Showcase
and their efforts were rewarded. A
cheerful, talented group of students, led by Mrs. Everly, warmed our hearts
before we headed back out into the May snowstorm – some to go home and others
to the Winstead tradition!
This
week the second graders, under the direction of Mrs. Haskamp, will perform at
9:00 on Thursday, May 9th.
Come share the joy of their performance with us!
Our
all-school chapel on Friday will be when the second graders honor their eighth
grade buddies. While guests, as usual, are welcome, since we
are expecting more than usual, the guests are asked to sit in the chairs at the
back of the chapel so the teachers and students can sit in their regular
places. Also we ask that, if you take
pictures, you do so without disrupting the flow and spirit of this special
church service. Thank you for your
cooperation on this.
All School Potluck and Talent Show: Calling all SPEDS Families: Do we have a
Friday night for you? It's a guaranteed good time and it will benefit our
school in Haiti. This Friday, May 10, some of our very gifted 6th graders
have organized a talent show, inviting and recruiting talent from different
classes. We're starting with a potluck at 5:45 pm in the North MPR, which
will immediately be followed by our talent show. We'll provide plates,
cups, napkins and cutlery. Pick up something at the grocery store to
share. (Make it easy please!) The talent show will start immediately
after we eat. Donations will be gratefully received on behalf of Haiti.
Come join us!
